Three Questions

This mail gets forwarded around pretty often. Pretty logical keeping in view the questions asked.

There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time. When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar or any expert who could answer his 3 questions. Finally, his parents were able to find a Muslim scholar.

Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my questions?

Scholar: I am one of Allah’s (SubHana Wa Ta'ala) slaves and Insha-Allah (God willing); I will be able to answer your questions.

Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions.

Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of Allah (SubHana Wa Ta'ala).

Young Man: I have 3 questions:

  1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.
  2. What is Takdir (fate)?
  3. If Shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the end he will be thrown to hell that also created from fire. It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of it this far?

Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man's face very hard.

Young Man (feeling pain): Why do you get angry with me?

Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to your three questions.

Young Man: I really don't understand.

Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?

Young Man: Of course, I felt the pain.

Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?

Young Man: Yes.

Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!

Young Man: I cannot.

Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God's existence without being able to see His shape......... Last night, did you dream that you will be slapped by me?

Young Man: No.

Scholar: Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?

Young Man: No.

Scholar: That is Takdir (fate)........ My hand that I used to slap you, what is it created from?

Young Man: It is created from skin.

Scholar: How about your face, what is it created from?

Young Man: Skin.

Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?

Young Man: In pain.

Scholar: Even though Shaitan (Devil) and also the hell were created from the fire, if Allah wants, Insha-Allah (God willing), the hell will become a very painful place for Shaitan (Devil).

The Wait...

Today, I went to a relative's place. Found an old (not very old) entertaining movie called Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
It is a good movie. It has good songs. Sometimes it so happens that you are going through something and there comes a song that fits so well to your situation you go on wondering. Here is one song that made me feel that.
Here are the lyrics.
Deewana dil deewana,
Deewana dil deewana
Kab se kare hai tera intezaar,
kab aayengi meri jane bahar
Ke jitna hi behlau,
yeh utna hi machalta hai dil.

Deewana dil deewana,
Deewana dil deewana
Andaaz dikhlati saaton tarah ke,
jalwe lutati hue 2

Aati hogi mausam ke saath
gulshan khilati hui
Aa bhi jaa, ab jaane ja.
Deewana dil deewana,
Deewana dil deewana

Dil se laga kar ke rakhha ab tak,
resham ka tera rumaal 2
Aage kahoon kya jaaneman aa dekh ja mera haal
Aa bhi ja ab jaane ja

Deewana dil deewana,
Deewana dil deewana
Tuta sitara to maanga tha rab se, tujhko hi jaane wafa 2
Jo tut jaye tare tamam, mango wahi ek dua
Aa bhi jaa ab jaane ja
Deewana dil deewana,
Deewana dil deewana

Kab se kare hai tera intezaar,
kab aayengi meri jane bahar
Ke jitna hi behlau, yeh utna hi machalta hai dil.
Deewana dil deewana,
Deewana dil deewana

Flexible Humans

NO, I am not talking about gymnasts or limbo athletes or those "incredible-but-true-duffel-bag-fitting-contortionist" freaks. I refer to the people who have a flexible attitude.

These people are pleasant to be around. Give a good listening ear to you and also share things like they mean it.

They make Life a better place. They don't seem to carry the burden of the world on their shoulders. They seem cheerful. But, this is not what I wanted to talk about here. I wanted to talk about people who are the exact opposite.

Every little thing they do, has to be emphasized. If they stop working, that's it, it is the end of the world. When these people are around, they expect others to thank them for breathing, for being there.

Normal people try to be good to these people because they think Mr. Inflexible Attitude is not well in his mind. Sometimes it becomes such a pain that you begin to think that you are not contributing to the world around you, but only taking in the precious resources and giving out junk.

These guys can be so inflexible, that even their body becomes rigid. Unable to do things in a fresh creative way. Even a smile looks like hard work.

May God protect us from these people and their influences. I am sure you have encountered such people. How was your experience.

First Poll Results

The Results were out a few days ago. Most of you knew the results if u have visited the blog recently. Lemme just put across the statistics.
Woah! There are two people who think of me as an inspiration. Thank you!!
I was surprised that none of my "Acquaintances" read my blog. And I was thinking they were the ones reading my blog.
Friends - Only 15 polls. I hope there are more than that many. Please prove me right on my next poll.
Relatives - are the people who will be with you all the time. Thank you to all of them.
A total of 24 votes, NOT BAD!! :)

Everyday...

It feels like the world has come to a stop and there is no tomorrow. There is no motivation to do anything.

It is as though I am passing through life like a ship drifting in the sea after the storms have ripped the sails off of the masts.

Life feels grey, pale like a man drained off his blood staring at you helplessly with hollow cheeks and sunken eyes.

The light at the end of the tunnel doesn't seem to appear at all. It keeps getting darker and darker.

The pain of loneliness is inexplicable. It does not intend to kill you, but it can leave you lifeless.

Nothing is fun, everything you like is just another thing happening to you.

The sullen feeling takes birth and easily aggravates. Consuming you rapidly, not giving a chance for hope to arrive to the rescue. Everyday.

Everyday I die again.

Everyday I miss you.

What's Happening?

I have been meaning to blog.. but wasn't finding time.

No not because I was offline but because things have changed. I am traveling more, what with my office moving to Jubilee Hills, apparently closer to the "IT HUB".

I am back to traveling those 26 gruelling kilometers twice everyday. Makes me wanna blog about the traffic and drivers and the various shortcomings of intellect among the fly-over-approving-senseless-employees of HUDA or whatever organisation that built the many utterly useless excuses for flyovers around Hyderabad.

No I am not going to complain, I will rather guide you to a few entertaining things online that can keep you occupied.

First: Orisinal. By Author Ferry Halim is a place for cute little games that keep you occupied no end. Flash games so magnificent you'd want to keep looking at them. Monkeys ducking, rabbits jumping, cows moo-ing and many other cute stuffs. head to the site http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/

Second: Google Image Labeler (beta). Like many other things Google, even the image labeler is a beta, but doesn't reduce the fun quotient. You can play as guest or log in with your Google/Gmail id. The aim is to tag images with an unknown partner assigned to you randomly by Google. You get points and the scoring methodology is explained at the site. The real deal is that Google is taking your help here to tag images which will then be used in the Google image search. So here you achieve both fun and get some work done for Google. This is see is one way of contributing to society so don't feel bad about wasting time. The link http://images.google.com/imagelabeler/

Third: xkcd.com. xkcd introduced me to a certain genre of web comics that are hilarious, sarcastic and funny. Not something that everybody will like. But there are some really humorous jokes here. I might even go as far as rating this site only for Mature Audience. You have been warned. Link:http://xkcd.com/

For the rest I will write another post. I wouldn't want you wasting your precious time on other frivolous pursuits. :P
